Believing Breaks Maiden
Scoring a well-deserved win at Pakenham on Thursday was the Robbie Griffiths trained three year-old Believing, a $140,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Griffiths Racing/ Peter Ford Thoroughbreds.
Placed three times previously, the Bel Esprit gelding posted a dominant two length win in the 1200 metre maiden overcoming a wide gate to win with authority.
Believing is a three-quarter brother-in-blood to stakes-winner Iconic and is the first winner for Hypatia, a grand-daughter of Group II winner and stellar producer Scandinavia.
This is of course the family of Black Caviar, All Too Hard and Magnus.
Three Bridges sold the current yearling from Hypatia, a colt by Your Song for $80,000 at Magic Millions and she has a weanling colt to follow by Unencumbered and was covered by him again last spring.
