Three Bridges Celebrate Super Successful Premier

A record breaking 2016 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale provided great results for the Victorian breeding industry with Three Bridges Thoroughbreds selling 19 horses across Session I and II for $2,046,500.

 

Top seller for Three Bridges was a cracking Teofilo (IRE) colt from Serious Rock that made $340,000 to the bid of New Zealander Lance O’Sullivan.

"He is an incredibly athletic and good-looking colt, and there is no doubt he is the perfect type of horse to race in Hong Kong, which is the long-term goal for him,” said O’Sullivan.

A strong and well put together bay, the colt was the most successful pinhook at the sale this year in terms of profit, having been plucked from the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale by renowned judge Paul Willetts for just $32,000.

The second foal of a young unraced Fastnet Rock mare, he comes from the family of champion sprinter and promising young sire Dream Ahead.

Also selling well was the half-sister by Snitzel to Group III winner Metallic Crown from Pegasus Queen that made $260,000 when bought by John Foote Bloodstock/ Darren Weir Racing.
