Stryker Colt Tops VOBIS Gold Yearling Sale

Three Bridges Thoroughbreds provided the top lot at the 2016 Inglis VOBIS Gold Yearling Sale this week with our stunning colt by Stryker from Actrice that fetched $85,000.

Knocked down to Shea Eden, the star colt is the second foal of a multiple winning Elvstroem mare Actrice.

"I’ve got a number of Stryker’s in the stable and I really like them. I heard prior to the sale that Three Bridges had a really nice colt coming here and I was really keen to come and have a look at him,” said Eden.

"I bought a Stryker [for $100,000] last year from Royale Harmony that all the top judges were on and I think this colt could even be better than him."

The pleasing result was no surprise to Toby Liston.

“The closest looking colt to Stryker I’ve seen so far, he has his swagger, beautiful head and best laid back attitude,” Liston said prior to the sale.

“He would have been offered at the Premier sale, but the owner didn’t want to sell at the time, changed his mind and now here he is. He will certainly be a stand out for sure and I am confident that he would be in the top 10% of any sale in the country on type, he is just a lovely looking colt.”
