Another Smart Winner Sold by Three Bridges
Astute trainer Clarry Conners had a lot of fun with stakes-winning mare Dorf Command and trained her first winner at Kembla on Tuesday with a stylish victory for Dorf Star, a $60,000 Inglis Premier purchase for his trainer from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft.
Resuming from a spell following three unplaced runs in good company last preparation, Dorf Star returned a stronger individual, powering home to win the 1000 metre maiden by half a length.
A three year-old colt by Starcraft, Dorf Star is the first foal of stakes-winning Commands mare Dorf Command, who was also Group II placed in a career that yielded seven wins and over $400,000 in prizemoney.
