Promising Fastnet Winner Sold by Three Bridges
The familiar colours of well-known Victorian owner Phil Sly have been carried by star Fastnet Rock fillies such as Mosheen and Lumosty with a promising winner at Geelong on Sunday aspiring to follow in their footsteps.
Three year-old Fastnet Rock filly Cazonet was sent out favourite for the 1440 metre maiden at her third start and got the job done in style when bounding away to win by more than two lengths.
A $450,000 Magic Millions purchase for Matchem Racing from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft, Cazonet is trained by Robert Smerdon and runs for Mr Sly in partnership with Katsumi Yoshida.
Cazonet is the second winner for Group III winner Native Song, who comes from a prolific and versatile Black Type family that has produced Group I stars such as Golden Slipper winner Mossfun and Group I ATC Australian Oaks winner Rising Romance.
