Magic Success for Three Bridges
Three Bridges Thoroughbreds enjoyed outstanding success at the 2016 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale providing the highest priced filly of the sale when the So You Think from Dorf Command fetched $335,000.
Bought by renowned pinhookers Ascot Farm/ Ampulla Lodge, the star filly is the third foal of stakes-winning Commands mare Dorf Comand, whose current yearling colt by Sebring was sold by Three Bridges at Magic Millions earlier this year for $410,000 to James Harron Bloodstock.
“During the pre-sales we loved her,” Ascot Farm’s Bruce Harvey said. “We thought she was probably one of the best horses on the sale ground, not just filly.
“So You Think was on our radar and she was the one that we loved.”
Three Bridges sold 11 youngsters in total for $810,500 at an average of $73,682, a sum well above the overall sale average.
Particularly pleasing were the good results for our young sire Unencumbered, with colts from Tangerine Dream (Fr) and Denarii selling for $80,000 and $60,000.
Sales action now switches back to Victoria for the Inglis Great Southern Weanling and Broodmare Sale (June 19 – 22) where we will present another quality draft. Click here to see the pedigrees.
