Unencumbered Weanlings Prove Popular
Three Bridges Thoroughbreds have been delighted with the response to the first crop of weanlings sired by Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Unencumbered which sold for up to $87,500 at the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale this week.
His best result was the colt from Vintage Quality that made $87,500 for Two Bays Farm when secured by NZW based Wattle Grove Thoroughbreds, while not far behind was the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds consigned colt from Royale Harmony that made $60,000 when snapped up by Pinhook Bloodstock.
Royale Harmony will foal again to Unencumbered this spring and was one of 125 mares covered by the brilliant son of Testa Rossa in his second season.
Unencumbered had eight weanlings sell at Inglis Great Southern at an average $41,938 providing a pleasing return on his $13,200 service fee.
These pleasing results come on the back of the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale where he also averaged just over $40,000 with his top seller a colt from Tangerine Dream (Fr) that made $80,000.
Unencumbered stands at the same fee in 2016 of $13,200.
