Three Bridges Thoroughbreds Announce Fees

Three Bridges Thoroughbreds have confirmed service fees on their exciting young sire Unencumbered, whose first runners will be unleashed in the spring and on their proven Group I producing sire Stryker.

A Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner by perennial favourite Testa Rossa, Unencumbered has covered more mares in each of his three seasons at stud which is somewhat unusual and serves as a real vote of confidence in his potential.

“Unencumbered and Dundeel were the only sires in their third year to serve not only an increase in mares, but more than their first year which is a wonderful vote of confidence from breeders,” said Toby Liston.

“History shows that when the market backs stallions in their third year with more mares than their first year with strength it’s generally a good indicator of greater things to come!!!”

The first progeny of Unencumbered have sold well this year and have entered the stables of a wide variety of leading trainers so will receive every opportunity to succeed.

“We feel pretty confident about his two year old season coming up,” said Toby Liston.

“Australia’s most popular sires at the moment all share a common denominator, they possessed two year old speed and have passed it on in spades.

“I Am Invincible, Not a Single Doubt and Written Tycoon – none of them won a Group I race - and all started their stud careers at $12,500 or less.

“The first three years of hard work are done with Unencumbered and with that foundation for success in place, it’s a great time to be booking in a mare to reap the rewards in years to come.”

Unencumbered will stand this spring at a fee of $11,000.

A superbly bred son of Fastnet Rock, Stryker has a Group I winner on the board in Rangipo and produces numerous winners with every week that passes including smart three year-old Perpetual Crisis, who won the $250,000 Inglis Dash at Flemington.

Stryker had yearlings sell for up to $140,000 this year and is an extremely affordable proven sire in a competitive market.

“He represents great value for breeders looking to have some sales ring fun and breed some good looking progeny with the best temperaments ever,” added Toby Liston.

Stryker has had his fee reduced for the first time this year and is priced at $6,600.
