Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale

Sold the highest priced yearling ever sold in Victoria, smashing the previous record of $600,000 set 20 years earlier. The Eceed and Excel x Gentle Call Colt was purchased for $750,000 and knocked down to Darley Stud's, Sheik Mohammed. As the leading vendor, their 8 yearlings averaged $196,000.

Pauline Liston received the time honoured Victorian Wakeful Club Lady in Racing Award. It was fantastic to see her recognised for her endless dedication and love for animals.

Rinky Dink Group 1 Winner

Rinky Dink won the Group 1 Australasian Oaks. The Liston family imported the stallion Distorted Humor (USA), owned the dam Peebinga Princess and foaled down the filly. When she didn’t make the reserve at the Magic Millions sale in Adelaide in 2002 Pauline broke her in and she went on to win at Group 1 level.
