Another Promising Winner Sold by Three Bridges

The Sebring winners come over all distances with the opening maiden at Sandown on Wednesday over 1000 metres won by his lightly raced son Supido, a $190,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft.

Prepared by Mick Kent, who also trains Sebring’s Group I placed stakes-winner Scratchy Bottom, Supido was resuming from a spell having not raced since finishing sixth to Eloping in the Listed MRC Blue Sapphire Stakes at his second start.

“I really rate him highly but he’s just been fairly immature,” Kent said. “I think he’ll progress to be a good quality sprinter in time.

“I think a good fast-run six furlongs would be perfect for him. These Sebrings they seem to do anything, I’ve got Scratchy Bottom who runs a mile-and-a-half (2400m) and this horse is very fast.”

If Supido progresses as planned, his trainer may look to some Black Type races over the Adelaide Carnival for him.

Bred by Gilgai Farm, Supido is the third winner from three to race from Lady Succeed (Jpn), a winning Brian’s Time daughter of French Group II winner Hydro Calido, a daughter of super producer Coup de Folie.

This is the family of countless Group I winners including Arc winner Bago and successful sires Machiavellian and Exit to Nowhere.

Three Bridges Thoroughbreds will offer three terrific yearlings at Inglis Easter by Foxwedge, Gio Ponti (USA) and Street Cry (IRE).
