Impressive Debut for Into the Mist
The Gawler meeting on Wednesday provided a Breednet ‘One to Watch’ when Tony McEvoy produced an interesting debut winner by champion sire Redoute’s Choice.
Three year old filly Into the Mist opened her career with a two length win over a big field in the 1211 metre maiden as favourite and will be winning more races.
Bred and retained to race by Peter Katelanis, the talented bay is a three-quarter sister to stakes-winner Instinction and is the second winner for Group II winning Encosta de Lago mare De Lago Mist, a daughter of prolific Adelaide stakes-winner In The Mist.
Three Bridges Thoroughbreds sold Instinction as a yearling for Mr Katelanis and will offer the current yearling from De Lago Mist, a filly by Foxwedge, as Lot 360 at the 2015 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
Grey in colour like her mother, she comes from a great Black Type family that has also produced Group I winner Wanted, Group II winner Shrapnel and stakes-winner Interspersed.
